Principal's Recommendation Bursary

Our Principal's Recommendation bursary is available to students entering Year 7 at the beginning of the school year and will apply for the duration of the student's time in Secondary School.
This bursary has been developed by Court Grammar School to encourage and support students who desire to enrol in Year 7 at the School, and whose circumstances would otherwise restrict them from enrolling here.
Each selected Primary School Principal can nominate one (1) student from Year 6 for this bursary. Students can be nominated on any of the following criteria:
- Demonstrated values which align with the respect values of Court Grammar School
- Potential to achieve through studying in Court Grammar School's learning environment
- Showing most improvement during their Primary School studies
- Academic merit
- Adverse personal circumstances or financial difficulty
This scholarship provides 50% reduction of tuition fees and is awarded annually to the most deserving student who meets some, or all, of the above criteria.
Applicants are required to have an interview, with their family, conducted by the School Principal.
Who can apply:
This bursary is open to potential future students. Students in Year 6, 2023 can apply for 2024 entry.
How to apply:
Read and complete section 1 & 2 of the Scholarships & Bursaries document and return to the school by the closing date below. A School application form must be submitted at the same time. This application must be accompanied by a recommendation from, and submitted by, the current Primary School Principal. Parents are not to submit this application.
Closing date:
All bursary application forms as well as a School application form must be submitted to the School no later than Friday 25 August, 2023.

Date of Interview:
Once the closing date has passed and all paperwork has been received, families of applicants will be contacted to arrange a suitable time and day for an interview.
Cost: There is no cost involved in applying for this bursary.
